Ian Russell MIBF, Dip PFS

Partner and Principle of Polestar Pensions & Investments

Ian is the founder of Polestar and a founder member of the Personal Finance Society. He has spoken throughout Europe on the topics of Pensions, Investments, Taxation and Trusts, in which he holds advanced qualifications. In addition Ian attends various seminars and conferences, on his clients behalf, to ensure that his clients are kept abreast of changes that can affect their Wealth Navigation Process.

Polestar has grown to become one of the UK's leading practices, championing the "The Wealth Navigation Process" a unique process developed by Ian to ensure his clients are provided with a reliable, value based service. This unique process delivers Ian's knowledge and wisdom through a trust based relationship with his clients.

Ian is a qualified engineer and has been a National Account Manager with a leading FMCG company. He lives in the community of Camberley with his wife, Tracey, his two sons, Sam and Ben. Any spare time is absorbed by supporting the local Rugby clubs Mini's and Youth teams.

Nicky Borman

NB & DH Financial Administration Services

Formerly a Personal Assistant working for the Economist at Nationwide Building Society for 13 years, then financial administration at Abbey Life, and Zurich for 2 years. Nicky became self employed in 2001 marketing services to Independent Financial Advisors. Nicky holds the CII Financial Planning certificates level 1 and 2. Nicky was also the winner of the Swindon Business Womans Group Award in 2003. Nicky lives in Swindon with her husband Dave, son Ben and their dog Maisey.

Donna Hiscock

NB & DH Financial Administration Services

Donna has spent all her working life in Financial Services. She has worked at Nationwide Building Society, Allied Dunbar and Zurich Financial Services over a 20 year period. Donna has experience in processing new business applications, servicing, call centre and complaints handling. During this period she passed FPC1 as well as all Money Laundering, Data Protection and Financial Crime qualifications. Donna joined Nicky in 2004 to form the partnership. Donna lives in Swindon with her husband Dave and two children.

Tracey Russell

Business Administrator

Tracey is an experienced business administrator having been a PA at Director level for companies including ntl (now Virgin Media) and Whitbread plc. She has also worked as a Financial Director's assistant for a small publishing company and a MD's assistant for a company providing mobile solutions for PCs.

She now works as an administrator at Polestar as well as helping out at her and Ian's childrens' school.

Graeme Viljoen

Technology Person

Graeme's background is in the development of web based products that support businesses. A director of Symbiotic, Graeme has delivered a variety of successful IT applications including e-commence solutions, content management systems and many other bespoke products. He is an experienced database software programmer and has launched several database driven web solutions across the UK and South Africa.

Graeme owns the veterinary portal Vetclick.com which has been successfully offering web-based products to hundreds of practices in the UK for the past decade. He lives with his wife and two small children in North London.

Daniel Josty

Design & Marketing

Daniel has been working in the design and publishing industry since 1992 after leaving the London College of Printing with a Degree in Graphic Design. He worked as Design Editor for Publications in Business and then Columbus Press, before setting up his own design company in 1998. He lives in Farnham, Surrey, with his wife Kate and their two small and energetic sons, Max and Jack.
